Have a Nice Trip, See Ya Next Fall!

IH!!! s'tI idaK ereh!!! LOL, sorry, I was looking at the keyboard. Mom and I went to FRIDAY HARBOR this summer. It was SOOOO fun and I want to do it again! We did the Cascade Loop and I now officially want to live in Winthrop! It was pretty and western and very cool! We might go next year and spend the night in a cabin over looking the river. Anyway, we drove all the way to Anacortes and rode the ferry to Friday Harbor. We spent about an hour walking around, playing tourist! It took triple that to drive to Anacortes. It actually took four hours, but we stopped in Burlington to shop. We got four shirts each from Sears, and I got a super cute watch. We also got some earrings from Claire's, we had time to kill so we shopped for an hour! (For us that's a LOT!) By the time we got to Anacortes, we thought we were going to miss the ferry. Luckily, the ferry was running late and we caught it. We wanted to stop at Orcas Island, but our ferry didn't go there. I got another T-shirt, and took some neat pictures that I wanted to share.

HI!!! Kadi here! I started sixth grade eighteen days ago. How exciting! Mom took some pictures of my amazingly good looks (LOL). Take a look!

Sorry! We still aren't keeping the blog up, we're getting pretty busy now-a-days. This is Kadi, so excuse the spelling please! Here is Tony's senior picture and we don't have any good recent pictures of me, but we'll try to keep it updated. I also have a new hobbie, it's called quilling. You have to roll thin pieces of paper up on circles and you can pinch the circle to create shapes, then glue a bunch of shapes together to make cool patterns ( cats, ice cream cones, pumpkins, etc.) I will update soon to show some quilled things I've made. Bye!

SPRING!!!

Spring is FINALLY here! This is Kadi (I'll probably take over the blog from now on, but who knows). Sorry, we haven't even thought about the blog! I'm SOOO happy! My birthday is almost here! YAY!!!!!
Anyway... Well spring is here! I made a fort up on the hill, and can get 'away' for awhile. It's kind of boring, but I don't care! I will update on my birthday (REALLY) soon!

Katie + Kadi: K2

We recently had the joy of having Kadi's long-time friend Katie stay with us for the weekend. It happened to be a basketball weekend, so on the way to Kennewick we stopped to "geocache". This picture is the two K's (Katie + Kadi: K2) at the south-bound pullout along the Columbia River at the Wild Horse Scenic area (you can see the Vantage bridge in the background).

You can look waaaay down over the edge of trail to the point that we were looking DOWN at a bald eagle circling around below us and above the girls!

This new hobby of Pete's is going to be a lot of fun. With the opportunity to get out and get some exercise, which is always good, plus I get to pull over and see things I've always wanted to see, but he would never let us stop!

We joined the "Cache-cadian" group at a dinner get-together the a few weeks ago, but now that the golf course is open, it will mean Pete has to decide between which of his two hobbies he wants to do!

Here is a picture taken from Birch Mountain overlooking the Wenatchee River Valley. He and Kadi hiked up to this point (I stayed home) and found a cache.
